(Kabacan, North Cotabato/ January 11, 2012) Kasabay ng pagpapalabas ng NUJP ng kanilang statement hinggil sa nangyaring panununog sa himpilan ng DXVL Radyo ng Bayan kahapon ng madaling araw.
Agad na pinaigting ngayon ng pamunuan ng University of Southern Mindanao ang seguridad sa loob ng USM main campus at sa lahat ng vital installation nito.
Nakipag-uganayan naman si DXVL station manager Dr. Anita Tacardon sa USM Security Services and management.
Una dito ilang oras bago naganap ang insedente kagaya ng pamamaril at panununog sa DXVL ay agad na naglabas ng statement ang NUJP Metro Manila at ang NUJP Kidapawan chapter hinggil sa nangyari.
Sa kanyang mensahe, mariing kinondena ngayon ni NUJP Kidapawan City chapter President Malu Cadalina Manar ang nasabing gawain, kungsaan nais nitong mapanagot ang responsible sa tangkang panununog sa himpilan ng Radyo ng Bayan.Press Statement

THE attack against DXVL is clear manifestation of how press freedom is violated.
When the freedom to express opinions is restrained or when truth is circumvented to pursue one’s interests, it’s when the role of the press as source of information, education, and entertainment is defeated and ruined.
One primary duty of media in the society is to inform and educate the public.
It helps transform the society.
Therefore, as a group protecting the media and the workers, we call on authorities to dig deeper on their probe.
We only don’t want to know who did the crime.
We want to unmask the mastermind and place him or her behind bars.
