WFPP namahagi ng mga post-harvest facilities sa mga farmers coop at PO’s sa Cot.

AMAS, Kidapawan City (Apr. 19) – Abot sa 33 mga kooperatiba ng mga magsasaka at mga Peoples Organizations sa lalawigan ng Cotabato ang nabiyayaan ng mga post harvest facilities mula sa World Food Program Philippines o WFPP noong April 15, 2014.

Kabilang ang 28 Collapsible Dryer Cases, 18 Self Verifying Cocoon at 10 Grain Safe 2 sa mga ipinamigay ng WFPP sa mga magsasakang mula sa tatlong distrito ng Cotabato.

Ayon kay Allan R. Matullano, Focal Person ng Protracted Relief and Recovery Operations – Project Management Office (PRRO-PMO) ng WFPP na nakabase sa kapitolyo, ang mga ipinamahaging pasilidad ay lubhang mahalaga sa produksiyon ng bigas at mais.

Maliban sa distribusyon ng post-harvest facilities, tinuruan din ang mga benepisyaryo sa wastong paggamit ng mga pasilidad para masiguro na mapakikinabangan ito.

Dumalo sa turn-over ceremony si WFPP Security Officer Dipayan Bhatta Charya na nanguna sa distribusyon at nagbigay pa ng power point presentation tungkol sa maayos na produksiyon ng pagkain ng mga magsasaka at pag-iwas sa pagsasayang ng pagkain.

Si Cot. 1^st District Board Member Kelly Antao ang kumatawan kay Cot. Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza sa aktibidad.

Sa kanyang mensahe, sinabi ni Antao na pinasasalamatan ng provincial government ang proyekto ng WFPP dahil mapapaangat nito ang kalagayan ng mga magsasaka sa lalawigan.

Sinabi ni Antao na maraming mga mahuhusay ng proyekto ang WFPP na nakatulong ng malaki sa sektor ng agrikultura at sa produksiyon ng pagkain.

Dumalo rin sa turn-over sina Provincial Agriculturist Engr, Eliseo Mangliwan, Dr. Samuel Aquino, Head ng Provincial Cooperatives Development Office at Alamada Mayor Virginia Concepcion.

Pinuri ng mga ito ang WFPP sa patuloy na pakikipagtulungan sa Provincial Government of Cotabato para maisulong pang lalo ang kapakanan ng sektor ng mga magsasaka. (JIMMY STA. CRUZ/PGO Media Center)

Cotabato 1^st District Board Member Kelly Antao represented Cotabato Gov. Emmylou “Lala” J. Taliño-Mendoza during the turn-over ceremony where he highlighted the impact of the programs and projects of the WFPP in helping the farmers and uplifting their living conditions.

“The partnership between our farmers and the WFPP is a significant part of our endeavor to improve the lives of our constituents”, Antao said in his message.

Aside from BM Antao, other provincial officials who attended the turn-over were Provincial Agriculturist Engr. Eliseo Mangliwan, Provincial Cooperatives Development Head Dr. Samuel Aquino and Alamada Mayor Virginia Concepcion.
