2012) ---Pormal ng magsisimula bukas ang tatlong araw na Unilympics at Kaliline
Festival 2012 sa University of Southern Mindanao na pangungunahan ng Institute
of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation o ISPEAR.
Sa isang kalatas na ipinadala ni ISPEAR
Director Prof. Flora Mae Garcia sa DXVL News, apat na mga unit ang
maglalaban-laban sa nasabing kompetisyon na binubuo ng bawat kolehiyo at institute.
Ang Unit 1 ay binubuo ng: College of
Agriculture, College of Human Ecology and Food Sciences, college of Health and
Sciences at College of Veterinary Medicine.
Ang College of Arts and Sciences, College of
Business Development and Economic Management at Institute of Sports, Physical
Education and Recreation ang bunubuo naman sa Unit 2.
Habang sa Unit 3 naman ang College of
Education, College of Engineering and computing at Institute of Middle East and
Asian Studies at sa Unit 4 ang College of Industrial Technology.
Iba’t-ibang mga sports event ang
paglalabanan sa nasabing Unilympics kagaya ng badminton, Baseball, basketball,
lawn tennis, Soccer, Volleyball, swimming at iba pa.
Habang sa Kaliline Festival naman ay
itatampok ang Pagsusulat ng Sanaysay, Essay writing, Dagli-ang talumpati,
Extemporaneous speech, pagkukwento, story telling, Quiz bowl habang sa musical
naman ang vocal solo, vocal duet, instrumental playing, hip-hop dance at
ibibida din ang on-the-spot painting at charcoal rendering.
Bubuksan ang nasabing aktibidad bukas sa
pamamagitan ng isang parade.
Tema ng nasabing aktibidad: “Socio-Cultural
and Sports Discipline: Key to a New World Order of Peace and Development”. (Rhoderick
